The
Making of

POST-PRODUCTION
Digital
editing, digital effects, dialogue recording, audio mixing,
script rewrites, and foley art took another 6 weeks after filming
was completed.
With 14 different cast members playing 29 different roles, it's
the biggest cast we've ever organized.
Flora
Whitfield was cast as the voice of Ripley. Discovered by
Carla, Flora impressed me and the other producers with her talent
and passion for the role. She has the perfect voice and moxie
for Probot's incarnation of Ripley, who is somewhat different
than Hollywood's version. The watchability of the whole movie
rides on the quality of that performance and i think she did
an amazing job!
Sebastian
performed many voices himself: reprising his roles as Bishop,
Chimpums (monkey voice), and Tweekie, and new characters, Mork,
O'Malley, Hudson, and Apone.
The
supporting cast includes a few Probot All-Stars:
Sean T. Drinkwater
[Farrah! as Steve Austin; Prequel as ObiWan
Kenobi & others]
Carla Remy Norton [Farrah! as Cher & Courtney;
Prequel as Cindel]
and Liz Enthusiasm [Farrah! as Becky]
Sebastian
recorded the dialogue and many sound effects on a 4-track analog
recorder, then imported them into his PC. He digitally mastered
each sound using Cool Edit Pro. He delivered the hundreds of
sounds on CDs and i put them onto my harddrive. I imported them
into Adobe Premiere and arrainged them on the timeline, which
sometimes required 11 different tracks to fit all the layers
of dialogue, sound effects, music, and ambient noise.
The
edit was tightened and tweaked day and night for weeks until
just hours before the first screening of the movie on July 4th,
2004.
