| We are pleased to announce the return of PREQUEL, our original STAR WARS action figure Epic! |
We released this movie in 2000, a year and a half in the making. It was made before we had digital effects capabilities so it features a lot of home made special effects and old-school in-camera tricks. For more info on the Making of PREQUEL, click here.
We removed the movie from the website last year to avoid confusion with our Action Figure Theater project for Hasbro. Now it is back!

had a great time this past Friday at the Echo
Park Film Center's 2003
Experimental Animation Showcase!
We were honored to be featured alongside such a wide variety of talented
artists.

We have completely revamped the site, a new look and lots of new stuff !
STARWARS.HASBRO.COM UPDATE:
The biggest news is that Hasbro is about to post the next installment
of our Action Figure Theatre series, an homage to STAR
WARS episode IV: A New Hope, to coincide with the release
of Attack of the Clones.
This 3 minute featurette recreates several scenes, mimicing the cinematography
and special effects from the classic film.
This is quite an accomplishment for probot because we have advanced
our special effects capabilities to include true CGI and ChromaKey Effects.
Special thanks to Kellfire Bray for all of
his hard work and long hours to single-handedly recreate ILM-style effects.

PROBOT PRODUCTIONS has just moved our HQ
from Cambridge, Massachusetts to Los Angeles, California! We have newly
upgraded studios and digital editing facilities.
Also, we are pleased to announce that PROBOT LIGHT
& MAGIC has a new CGI effects team, featuring digital animators
Kelly Bray and Jim
Parker. They will be experimenting with CGI effects in our future
productions. Up to this point we have relied entirely on in-camera effects,
and we are proud of that. However, we believe in using any means necessary
to make Quality Toy Cinema, and we are truly excited about the new possibilities
to explore with CGI.
